The Continuity Guidance Circular guides efforts to develop and maintain the capability to ensure continuity of operations, continuity of government, and enduring constitutional government during an emergency that disrupts normal operations. Some continuous improvement work, activities, and priorities could overlap with some of the work/focus in the continuity space to ensure essential services continue within organizations to always be able to support key community needs. Continuous improvement programs should be familiar with this continuity circular. Development and maintenance of continuity capabilities helps build and sustain a more resilient nation that is equipped to sustain essential functions and core capabilities, while delivering critical services under all conditions.
